Pioneering the field of microRNA biology

miRagen works closely with researchers under the direction of Dr. Eric N. Olson at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas to explore the role of microRNAs in the development and progression of disease. With particular expertise in cardiovascular and muscle cell biology, Dr. Olson’s group is at the forefront of microRNA research and continues to make important contributions to our understanding of how these master regulators control the expression of genes and entire genetic pathways.

miRagen is the exclusive licensee of a number of key microRNA-related discoveries made by the Olson lab and is working to translate those breakthroughs into life-changing therapeutics. In addition, we have entered into a multi-year Sponsored Research Agreement with the University of Texas and have obtained exclusive rights to license all future microRNA discoveries from Dr. Olson’s laboratory.
